Project
SEA – Seattle, WA
Since 2000, Ilium has served as a trusted wayfinding and environmental graphic design partner for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), completing a wide range of projects tied to the airport’s ongoing improvements and operational changes. Work has spanned roadway signage planning and design, enplane and deplane vehicular directory signage, ground transportation center signage, and remote employee parking signage. A comprehensive signage standards program was also developed in conjunction with NBBJ, establishing a consistent visual framework for the airport’s evolving signage environment.
Additional projects have addressed the specific wayfinding challenges that arise as SEA continues to grow and modernize. This has included revised wayfinding to accommodate shuttle service between the terminal and the new remote consolidated rental car facility, as well as phased wayfinding updates to guide passengers through airline relocations within the airport. Across all projects, the focus has remained on clear, passenger-centered solutions that keep travelers oriented and moving efficiently through one of the Pacific Northwest’s busiest airports.
